Hello all

My feet are not very deformed to look at although the toes drift (big toe wants to hide under the others and the toenumber three is wingmirroring the wrong way... and have limited ligaments attached and no arches under my foot.

therefore your cheapy shoes are just not a possible- even some more pricey ones are not a goer.Sad no glossy little heels for meSad

When it comes to sandals its been increasingly difficult- I need a level of ankle stability etc. but I HATE granny shoes.

I have got a pair of very lovely Joseph Siebel cloggs....

But wanted to have something to show my toes (as I get them painted!)

I have found this items of desire.....

http://www.amazon.co.uk/...3ESO2OK/ref=oss_product

AND they are PURPLEThumpUp

what do you think?

Hi Jenni

These look good and with a bit of styling! Love the colour too ThumpUp

They don't seem to have any arch support though? Or do my eyed deceive me? Confused At the price quoted they need to be spot on!

Thanks Jenni, these do look really good, much better than old granny ones lol!!!!
I have just been to orthotics last week, he had me move around a little, stand up straight etc, asked if my feet and ankles hurt as soon as I stand, I said yes, he replied "thought so". He was meant to liaise with foot clinic, but he said they are way behind with appointments, mine is for 5th August, so that lets that out.
He took moulds of my feet and is making me some insoles. He also advised wearing trainers, he said the ones I have wont work, as they need a more built up back, and toes that are not levelly on the floor (I know that sounds odd) but I have bought a pair of nike ones with velcro strap. The problem is that because of the swelling on my ankles the straps dig in to my foot. I have had this problem with the normal running shoes too. Still, hopefully I can persevere with them, he can then fit the insoles for me. Oh, RA, what are you doing to us!!!????RollEyes

Hi Jenni

Love the sandals. I wear sandals most of the time and asked my podiatrist if he could make my insoles so they could fit into sandals too. They are great I just use double sided strong pads from B & Q and they can be worn in anything. I wear hotters all the time and although they have some nice ones I thing these are much more modern and pleasing to the eye. I will be interested to hear how comfortable they are.

Hi Jenni

They look really nice... my favourite colour too. ThumpUp

I tend to live in trainers... although I did get some nice leather sandals in a market in Tenerife - which are nice too.

As it's through Amazon, you can probably try them - and send them back if they don't fit, or don't look as you expect.

I think we deserve a few treats in life. I always buy myself a birthday present from me! (A little luxury). That way I get something I really want!!!

Hello Jenni

Think they are lovely , great colour. Make sure they have arch support though.
I had a pedicure last month to go to France. Bright pink and a little 'diamond'
on the big toe, and yes made me feel great. . .

No we didn't Jean, honest. He did give a very good talk enjoyed by everyone, and showed us the ways he assesses feet. You know how it is with women, ra and shoes, it's everyone's favourite moan!

Hope you are feeling better Jean, it's nice to see you on here again.

they are lovely- although i can't have ankle straps as my left ankle swellls badly in warm weather. I also can't cope with buckles and I'm too proud to ask for help!!!

Despite my original misgivings I've found fitflops great. I've treated myself to 2 pairs- a lovely pair with diamantes for evening and a pair of black ones with studs to go with my jeans. I could buy more but better not.All I need now is the weather.......

they are very very light and you honestly feel like you arent wearing any shoes!- I have no arches to support and walking is a once in a blue moon occurance and they look splendid.
